1. What this policy covers

This policy describes what happens to information when you use y2mate, the free tool on this website that turns YouTube videos into MP4 or MP3 files. It covers every page of the site, in every language.

2. How to reach us

3. What happens when you paste a link

As soon as you start with a YouTube link, our server reads the video's ID from it and asks a processing partner for that video's download links. The links go back to your browser only and are not stored. The link you paste serves no other purpose.

4. Services that help us

A few outside services are part of how the site works:

• Hosting and content delivery companies run this website. As with any web server, they can handle technical details like your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and keep things secure.
• Video thumbnails load from YouTube's image servers after you paste a link.
• When you tap a quality, our processing partner prepares the file. Your browser checks its progress with the partner and downloads the file straight from the partner's servers; it never passes through our own server.

5. What we keep

We keep no record of pasted links, saved files or downloads. Since there are no user accounts, no profile about you exists.

6. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser (such as _ga), and Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

You can block cookies in your browser settings or install Google's opt-out browser add-on. We still show no ads, you do not need an account, and we do not keep the links you paste or the files you download.

7. Emails you send us

When you email us, your address and message are used for one thing: replying to you. You will not be added to any mailing list.

8. Children

y2mate is not aimed at children younger than 13, and we never knowingly collect information from them.

9. Your rights

You may ask which information we have about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. Since we keep no links, files or accounts, this usually only concerns emails you sent us. Send your request to contact@y2mate.lifestyle.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the service evolves. The "Last updated" line shows the current version, and using the site after an update means the new policy applies.
