Terms and Conditions

Last updated: October 17, 2026

1. Using y2mate means you accept these terms

Using y2mate means you agree to these terms. If you disagree with them, please stop using the service.

2. What the service is

y2mate is a free web tool that turns YouTube videos into MP4 video or MP3 audio files inside your browser. No account and no installation are needed.

3. Your content, your responsibility

What you download is your responsibility. Save only content you are entitled to keep, such as your own uploads, clips whose owner allows it, or material that is free to use. Keep the files for personal, non-commercial use, and follow copyright law and YouTube's terms of service.

4. What is not allowed

You may not use y2mate for any of the following:

  • Breaking the law or infringing anyone's rights.
  • Downloading, sharing or selling content that you are not allowed to copy.
  • Automated scraping of the service, bulk requests, or any attempt to overload, copy or resell it.
  • Trying to break, probe or get around the security of the website.

5. Limits of the service

The service works within these limits:

  • MP4 video up to 1080p; MP3 audio in 320, 256 and 128 kbps; each file up to 2 GB.
  • A prepared file can be downloaded for about an hour; after that, paste the video link again.
  • Public videos only; private or region-locked ones cannot be processed.
  • One video per link; playlists are not saved as a whole.

6. YouTube and Google

y2mate has no connection with YouTube or Google. The YouTube name, a trademark of Google LLC, appears here only to describe what the tool works with.

7. Copyright requests

Rights holders who believe the service is being used to copy their video without permission can email contact@y2mate.lifestyle with the video link, a short description of the work and their contact details. Every request is reviewed and handled quickly. There is no separate form; email is the fastest route.

8. No warranty

The service is offered on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It is free and may change, slow down or go offline at times without notice. We cannot guarantee that every video will work or that files will be free of errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law permits, we accept no liability for loss or damage arising from the use of y2mate or from being unable to use it, including lost data, or from content you decide to download.

10. Changes

These terms may be revised when the service is updated. The "Last updated" line marks the current version, and continuing to use y2mate after a revision means you accept it.

11. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to contact@y2mate.lifestyle.
